HOW DO WE SPEND YOUR DONATIONS?

 

Many people ask us how we spend the money we raise for foster children.  Below is a chart of where your donations go and the kinds of requests we get from foster kids.  The ages of our children vary, but the majority of the expenditures go to children between the ages of 12 to 18 years old (52%), with 6 to 12 year olds getting 42%.  Our administrative expenses remain very low; under $5000 to date, and the majority of that expenditure is for printing and mailing costs for newsletters; the balance goes for an answering service (we have no staff); stationary and envelopes.  With 1000 children in foster care in Ingham County, we do a lot with what you give.
